May Reyes: 04/29/2017 00:51

since the remodel, the store looks AMAZING.the bakery has the BEST breads donuts cakes anything bakery olmos has.the girls in bakery are all super nice.produce dept ALWAYS has fresh clean produce.the restrooms are nicely remodeled.there can be lines but a manager will ALWAYS open other registers.this store is VERY friendly and that is why this store is my FAVORITE...

Jerry Sanchez: 04/28/2017 13:19

5 Stars if yall stayed open 24 hours

leticia cantu: 04/28/2017 03:17

It was crowded when I walked in so thought it would take awhile, but they had plenty of lines open and helpful staff. I only needed a few items and was in and out quickly

alexis morales: 04/25/2017 07:54

I like this place because I have a good product

Uriah Odell: 04/21/2017 01:40

Holy crap is this store busy! I went at almost midnight and there were still people everywhere! The cashier was really nice, though. Lost a star because the floor people just looked at me like i was in their way and ducked away when i looked at them.

T Rich: 04/20/2017 01:01

very big, nice selection, a little too nested in that neighborhood. but its worth the 30mph stop sign dotted route.

Fernando Fonseca: 04/19/2017 03:47

Great all-around market that has everything you need and then some. They have an excellent wine selection and one of the only HEBs in the Alamo Heights area that have a Peanut/Almond Grinding Station.

Daniel Kirscht: 04/16/2017 18:36

Anytime I don't go to Costco, I definitely go here. Looks great after remodel and has the things I can't get wholesale.

Rose Duron: 04/15/2017 22:14

Have been shopping here for years. Great staff, produce, and meats. I always buy local at my HEB rather than other places. Save more on the store brands than name brands even with coupons ... and most are even better! Pharmacy staff also great & caring.

Ricardo Machorro: 04/15/2017 20:25

Once in a great while it is decent, most of the time it's bad. There are never any baggers(courtesy clerks), there always stockers in the way (they should stock during close time hours, right?),the baskets are all broken, there only a couple of checkout lines open in the morning., there is no selection, they herd you like cattle keeping only the left side cashiers open mixed with 15 item's or less and many more negatives. For being in the "DECO" district it sure really DECO DIRTY, just look at the parking lot.

Loganofan22 NASCAR: 04/13/2017 05:26

VERY BAD!!!!!!! DO NOT GO!!!! THEY DO NOT STOCK! I WENT TO GO FIND SOME HOT WHEELS WHICH THEY HAD AT LEAST 500 CARS AND WITHIN 2VDAYS ALL GONE. THIS STORE IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! !!!

set set: 04/11/2017 06:02

This place is absolutely great. I live by the Rim and enjoy taking the ride out a few miles up the road to get groceries. Always seem to have what I'm looking for and is a great place to just look around at new foods on the shelves. Cashiers are plentiful. Good parking. Well done ladies and gents.

Coe Gwinn: 04/07/2017 05:39

This is no HEB plus but it still has a great selection for the size of the store. It is a lot more convenient than an HEB plus too. Sometimes the lines can be a little crazy but they always have plenty of cashiers working to keep the lines down. I love the sale section and the healthy living section. This location even has jackfruit sometimes.

Roy Paniagua: 04/06/2017 20:11

I was always complaining about the little amount of disability parking. I don't anymore. Hey, I can still walk! As far as the Store? Where else do you think I'd go. Like in the middle of the letter's of their Logo, Here"Everthings"Better. H-E-B If that one doesn't have it?, That's why there's H E B PLUS! HAAH!

Valerie Aguillen: 04/01/2017 06:35

Sleep the staff is friendly and helpful. But the new nighttime deli team is rude and rushes you out so they could close shop. That's very distasteful. Other than that store is clean and management is helpful!

Mercy Cortez: 04/01/2017 04:11

Go out of my way to shop at this heb store and friendly. Good n clean

Joe Martinez: 03/29/2017 21:36

Friendly...helpful..... people oriented

Moses Esquivel Sr: 03/26/2017 14:09

People are friendly, small store cashiers quick and u don't have to worry about the hot sun in the summer parking lot is under the store

Ricardo Ruiz: 03/25/2017 03:18

Covered parking, good variety of products, friendly helpful staff & clean restrooms. I prefer going to this HEB than the one closest to me.

Arturo Olivo: 03/24/2017 00:23

Been going to HEB for years and it is great though can be overcrowded depending on when you go to the store. Great prices on food and they have specials every week.

L. A.: 03/17/2017 04:00

The store has some good and bad days. All of the green vegetables are filthy, especially the cilantro. Some of the cashiers are also unprofessional and rude.

GIG SanAntonio: 03/16/2017 05:20

So much to love. Improvements could be a wider selection. Rotate trial items. Put out a 'what should we stock' sheet. Love the yellow tag sales and red/yellow markdowns. Management is helpful (corporate is not).Dairy is quick to markdown items near expiration when asked. Allow escorted shoppers into the caged off area. Overall great.

Jacob Potts: 03/13/2017 01:03

I don't ask for many request but when I do they take care of it.

Emmanuel Nagib: 03/09/2017 22:24

Staple foods only. Not much in the way of variety with the exception of occasional tropical fruit. This HEB needs an overhaul and to carry a wider range of ethnic products outside of just a few bottles of stir fry sauce and Hispanic foods (although that variety is excellent). It's either white cheese or yellow cheese kinda place. Seafood section is terrible, everything pre frozen, rarely fresh. This HEB serves one of the most gentrified areas in San Antonio yet still doesn't have many options beyond toast and French bread.

Celeste Rose: 03/08/2017 05:05

The selection of food was pretty good for not being an HEB plus. Really loved the bulk items. My cashier was scanning to fast and charged me twice for certain items. He was trying to be impressive ,but instead looked unprofessional.

Israel Gomez: 03/07/2017 02:13

Awesome mini-Heb! Great for hotel guests in the downtown area. This place has great ready to eat dinners and kick back on the outside tables. You can even drink a beer while eating your meal. Awesome!!!

rebecca lamb: 02/28/2017 01:28

I had a wonderful experience at the Babcock location today!! I went by at about 3pm, I had to pick up water and I usually get the 32 pack Aquafina water, they can be really heavy getting in and out of the cart. When I got to my car I was dreading picking up the water in the bottom rack of the cart because my back was hurting and I am 4 months pregnant. Thankfully 2 male employees hurried over to my car and asked if they could help me unload my cart!! It was a simple act of kindness but I am super thankful for the help!! I don't know the employees names but they definitely made my shopping experience wonderful! I'm going to continue going to this location, they do a wonderful job!

D Luna: 02/21/2017 17:29

Small yet classy & well kept H-E-B. Has seating and gas heaters so you can eat outside. Wheelchair accessible parking. Isles are small, especially when pushing a cart. Fuel nearby in same parking lot. Good location.

Isabel Gonzales: 02/21/2017 05:17

Very Pleasant, Helpful Workers! Always find what I need, alot of things to choose from

Ray Azul: 02/20/2017 21:55

This one has ramune, boba pearls, sofrito, discs, sazon, malta, and the flaming bird!

G Boudreau: 02/17/2017 18:27

Good folks, bad policies. The folks working there at the HEB Warehouse are good folks. The way they unload the trucks is HORRIBLE policy and drives the cost of goods up at the end of the day. They need to go look at how Wal-Mart and Dollar General do their distribution and at least try to make it better. The facility it's self is amazing but it is hard to back the 70' trucks with 20 yard mules speeding by at 20mph. Bring a book and expect 4-6hr lead times.

amaro jose: 02/09/2017 01:14

Longest wait in line ever at heb. 30min. In a express lane.

is j: 02/07/2017 09:58

Easy in and out (compared with the super HEB - 281N). Love the shopping experience. Fresh produce and food showcase. Nice bakery display. Will like to see a different configuration with food on the front and detergents on the side. Next to cosmetics and pharmacy. Cashier's customer service- Excellent .

Matthew Hite: 02/07/2017 06:48

Love HEB. Everything you could need, incredible produce, fantastic meats, and terrific selection combined with affordable pricing and friendly staff. Amazing customer service. We purchased some of the Cocina Ware enameled cast iron pieces. We hand washed them, yet the finish turned dry and powdery. We contacted H-E-B corporate and they returned our call in under 12 hours, and offered to replace all three pots. I returned them to this location, the manager verified the conversation in the internal system, and we had all 3 replaced in under 10 minutes. Rare to have a company stand behind their products like that.

Ethan Christopher: 02/06/2017 04:33

Every single time I buy meat, or fish from this market, there is always something wrong with it. Whether it be spoiled brown meat (before the expiration date) with the spoiled brown areas hidden under stickers with little white hairs on it, or "skinless" salmon, with every single piece having full scales and skin on the hidden underside, only the top of each piece being skinless. I am very disappointed in the groceries sold at this HEB, seeing as before I viewed HEB at such a high standard. For once I'd like to get what I'm paying for here. I feel as though I'd have better luck at the local meat market. Extremely disappointing.

Jed Ashford: 02/04/2017 10:58

We recently moved to Utah and boy do I miss you HEB! I came back just to write you a review. This is one of the highest quality establishments in all of NW san antonio. Food is always good, employees always friendly. The contrast between this and Walmart is phenomenal. HEB is the best.

Maritza Weiss: 01/31/2017 01:56

Great little store with beautiful interior. A little small and limited selection but definitely gets the job done! Great addition to downtown SA

A: 01/29/2017 10:03

Super cute HEB. They have at least one (brand/flavor) of every kind of item a regular-sized HEB store offers, which is pretty dang amazing. All of the graphic design and typography is beautiful. I was surprised that they even have a gas station.

Karla C: 01/28/2017 03:50

Some workers are rude beyond what's expected here. This used to be my favorite store, but I slowly decline coming back because of the employees. Does not matter how I pay cash, debit card they are still rude. Please I have started using Wal-Mart even tho they are so much more expensive. Maybe have a team meeting on customer service. It has gone downhill.

robert valdez: 01/26/2017 23:50

Very friendly atmosphere. Always pleasant to shop there. Customer oriented.

Brandon G: 01/21/2017 20:15

A long long time ago, this used to be the premiere HEB in San Antonio. With the advent of the Central Market Brand, and their flagship stores the HEB Market Place (This stores name) has in many ways fallen to the wayside. Where it used to carry more things than any other HEB in town, it is now on the other side of that spectrum and you'd be better suited to head down Bandera a few miles to the HEB Plus rather than come here. The store could do with a lot of updating but according to a manager at this store when I asked about their situation he said (this is a exact quote mind you), "That HEB Corporate doesn't really care about anything inside Loop 410." so take that for what you will.

Michelle Almanza: 01/20/2017 02:16

I shop there it's a busy store but friendly and clean. Love this store.

Michelle Obama vlogs: 01/12/2017 03:47

Terrible Place to Shop and Work Store is dirty and very down scaled compared to other stores nearby, upper management focuses very much on removing name brand items and replacing them with "own brand" items as to increase profit, which wouldn't be as bad if the products weren't garbage; anyone who's tried their "pumpkin spice" soda for example will understand. their hill county fare generic items are always sub-par to what they're competing with. general selection is poor to say the least. most employees there are decent as far as performance and disposition with the exception of floor managers and many of their cashiers who either are rude and condescending or incompetent and incapable. Also, not to sound racist but they cater to a lot of ghetto foodstamp individuals (of all races). To sum up the shopping aspect, overall their priority is profit over quality. the ideal situation for them is large bulk orders with a lot if not all name brand items, poorly packed, and pumped out as quick as absolutely possible with as little attention to detail and proficiency as feasibly possible.

Blake Closner: 01/05/2017 23:21

Best HEB in town! Everyone is so friendly & helpful, products are fresh, and restaurant is awesome! Left the store the other day & realized later that I hadn't been charged for something. Went back and told the manager and tried to pay for it. He told me thank you so much for being honest and bringing it to his attention and the fact that I was honest about it was payment enough for them :) How's that for my neighborhood grocery store!

Diana Erdman: 12/30/2016 23:29

I love my HEB! Everyone is always friendly, very clean and have much better produce & meat selections than the competition 3 miles down the road!

David Claar: 12/29/2016 22:43

Always crowded but never long lines at checkout. The selection could be a little better. I HATE the tamale lady. She is very annoying. It was cute the first couple times but every day? That just gets annoying. Im embarrassed that the HEB i shop at went viral cause of an old lady singing.

Grace Ramirez: 12/25/2016 06:57

Department supervisors and Store Greeters always greet you with a smile. Staff is awesome, courteous, respectful, etc.., what more can I say "They're the best & my HEB favorite place to shop. A big thumbs up !!

maria palomo: 12/22/2016 08:58

I love shopping there but I just wish that they would have more registers open on the first couple of weeks of the month. The staff is very friendly and courteous and they are helpful when you need anything. I go there on the first week and it's extremely crowded due to people getting their food stamps.

Robert Larkin: 12/22/2016 06:37

I miss HEB. I am thankful for this location tucked away beterrn 281 and blanco road. The parking lit is fairly easy to get in and out. Plus, i can always get me some HEB creamy creations ice cream!

Gary Luker: 12/08/2016 15:20

I like this store The prices are good employees are friendly

Eddie Lee Jones Jr: 12/08/2016 14:48

It's on the 20 bus line and fast service it's H.E.B home sweet home

Eva Rangel: 12/07/2016 18:59

The cashier smacked her lips because the customer didn't want a few things. Yikes. Also, if you eat healthy, the lean meats and kale seams to always be on sale. That's a plus for me. I love kale.

David Littlestar: 11/23/2016 22:06

Great staff and well stocked. Didn't need many items during my visit there but it looked like the checkout service was quick all around.

Tony T: 11/17/2016 00:26

Whao! This is one hip HEB! This is the first HEB "Market" we've ever ran into! They actually jam some cool music, has a huge deli and fresh produce market for such a small store! Wide selection of wines and craft beers!, large selection of frozen foods. This will be our stock up store next time we're in the area!

Anar G: 11/14/2016 06:34

Love HEB! This store carries some hard to find imported products.

Sophie C.: 11/07/2016 02:41

**SHOUT OUT TO VIC! *** Even though this HEB is sometimes understaffed, my cashier Vic (lovely hair by the way), was so kind and patient with us, even though the lines were long. He talked to us and was very helpful. THANKS VIC YOUR PARENTS SHOULD BE PROUD OF YOU STAY AWESOME!!!! On another note: I like this HEB. While the escalators/elevators do make people lazier, this is a lovely and attractive feature, and stairs are available. This HEB offers the same products as others and isn't as limited as some HEBs.

Freaking love my HEB they are amazing, all the departments are simply amazing. I go with my 3 crazy kids and everyone is always friendly, its super clean and I always place last minute cake orders and the bakery is so nice to me, even though I am surely annoying! Thank you all so much for helping me to run my business and feed my family on a budget !

for a store that's not so big, they keep a pretty good assortment. I like that they have a good number of

Rude Saartjie: 10/27/2016 21:29

Manuel Ayala: 10/18/2016 20:46

Floral Placed an order for a bouquet of flowers and the girl that helped me was super friendly and showed she cared about what I wanted! When i picked up the arrangement, it looked so pretty and fresh! Also the ladies that were there were very sweet as well. Thank you so much and will definitely come back to y'all!

Great seafood shack set up in front of store. Very courteous and friendly staff at booth. I wonder why this hasn't caught on at other HEB locations but I suspect it will.

Joseph Suarez: 10/06/2016 08:35

Disgraceful neighborhood with rude, uneducated, and violent people... There are always beggars and solicitors outside and I never feel safe in or outside this disgusting excuse for a grocery store.

Kody Estrada: 10/04/2016 18:50

honestly, i only visit when i'm at my station. but theres nothing wrong with this HEB

Jennifer Bouldin: 10/01/2016 16:01

Store is too small! Parking lot is too small! Smelled like pee in the soda isle! Lines we're all long with lanes closed! Worse HEB I've ever been too. They need to shut it down and rebuild. This HEB will make your Great mood flip to stressful as soon as you pull in the parking lot. Talk about a very compact place will a lot of people.

Talibuh Taylor: 09/30/2016 17:12

My favorite 1 stop shop.. Everyone's always nice & polite Clean.. Great prices.. Good food Cant ask for a better grocery store

Mike Peacock: 09/30/2016 09:23

Very small by today's standards, yet the employees are very knowledgeable and friendly

Thomas Miglis: 09/23/2016 17:25

It's convenient to my house, but small and limited selection compared to the other H.E.B.s.

Wayne Thomas: 09/20/2016 21:20

The greatest thing about this HEB is the layout of the check out stands. Instead of being spread out one deep they are two deep. This allows you to more easily find the shortest line and even change lines by moving forward into the second row when you spot an opportunity. This HEB also supports seniors by fulfilling orders taken by the Jefferson Outreach for Older People, whose volunteers deliver to homebound seniors. This is a value oriented HEB aimed at working class shoppers with lots of people riding the high ridership bus lines to the store. Don't expect high end products. Do expect all the basics.

Samuel Mills: 09/13/2016 05:38

This HEB is the awesome. It is a great place to get good groceries for your home, apartment, or hotel.

Paris Brinkley: 09/11/2016 22:40

At 10 pm I can really get in and get out with great parking. Love the restaurant. Friendly staff. Sometimes I have had issues with the freshness of their fruits/veg, but overall wonderful store. Esp enjoy that locals can walk there to shop with their rolling bag carts.

Roxie Olvera: 09/09/2016 07:43

Easy to get to. Very clean. It is easy to find someone if you need help. There are always plenty of check outs open and they always offer you help to your car.

Michelle Ramirez: 09/08/2016 16:21

They have a great variety. Large cheese and wine selection. The employees at this location are super friendly. The men in the seafood department are always informing me of specials and items the store is carrying for a limited time. It's not central market but I'm happy with my local HEB.

Ryan Heki: 09/08/2016 07:19

Very friendly service. Employees greeted me and asked if I needed help finding anything. Even while under construction, and inventory was being re-arranged, I received quality service. Special thanks to the older Gentleman who showed me where to find the cards.

Melissa Walker: 09/08/2016 04:49

Great store staff is friendly. The only place I will shop for meat. Marco in the meat Dept does a great job always has provided Great Customer Service in the meat Dept and also willing to make the customer Happy. Always friendly. Thanks Heb and Thank You Marco in the Meat Department. Always supporting local. HEB TEXAS.

Linda Arredondo: 08/23/2016 17:43

I like this HEB. It's smaller and convenient. Again this is a more pared down HEB, produce section is less and some niche items are non existent, like no toy aisle. The store is clean and the staff is friendly.

Evie NDestynee: 08/09/2016 08:32

has what you are looking for when it comes to authentic Mexican cuisine options for dinner! love the corn in a cup guy I can never leave the parking lot without falling for a delicious serving! very ideally located within the loop 410 for easy access....

Alexis Hernandez: 08/08/2016 17:05

Place is to crowded. The reason being most of the time they only have 2 to 3 registe4s open, so the lines are very long. The produce does bot look as fresh as other stores.

Wayne Thomas: 08/07/2016 05:03

The Deco HEB serves a mixed community. There are many poor, many lower middle class and some middle to upper middle class customers. It won't have the high end selection of an HEB that serves a wealthier clientele. But, it does have the basics in organic vegetables. It does have all the HEB brand staples and it does have a bit of variety. The staff is very hard working. The thing that makes the Deco B better than almost any other is the two-deep arrangement of checkout registers. That arrangement allows you to more easily spot the shorter lines. There is much less walking involved than the standard one-deep arrangement.

I was wrongfully accused of stealing and chased out of the store at HEB on 999 E Basse Rd by two unprofessional, young slackers who were casually surfing their cell phones before making the unfounded assumption that I was a shoplifter. I was originally shopping at HEB at 999 E Basse Rd for a quick bottle of water before remembering I already had extra bottled water back at work. Realizing I didn't need what I was originally there for, I casually observed two HEB employees standing along an isle near a sample station or grocery cart and they were each huddled over a cell phone sharing and discussing cell phone pictures. The male was "Jeremy" according to his name tag and was likely some sort of security-related HEB staff member. The female was a younger chubby hispanic girl either pretending to work at a sample station or slacking off at slowly returning groceries in a cart. Just as I observed them slacking off and surfing images on a cell phone, the female saw me notice them and took offense to it. She said, "Can I help you?" I nodded and was like "I'm good" before walking away and headed towards the exit to return back to work. As I casually walked towards the exit of HEB, both people followed closely behind me and the female continuously made accusatory statements to suggest that they wanted me to slow down and suspected me of theft. She started with, "Can I help you? What are you doing? Why are you walking away? What are you hiding? Why don't you slow down and talk to us? Hello? What are you trying to hide?!?!?" In that moment, they were clearly insinuating that they were accusing me of theft without a shred of any evidence to suggest I was stealing. They were surfing their cell phones and casually jumped to the conclusion that just because I changed my mind about buying the water, I was a shoplifter despite having not seen anything to suggest I was stealing anything from HEB. So I circled back and spoke with the store director, Kim Taylor, who provides me with a cookie-cutter apology followed by a generic statement that she will hear "their side of the story" before deciding upon the appropriate action. I told her that I am not seeking anything free. I want nothing out of it but a follow-up with some assurance that these people will be held accountable but she refused to even give me that. It felt more like a brief apology on their behalf and "have a nice life!" I want Jeremy and his female associate held accountable for this outrageous experience.

This is a great HEB very helpful great staff and always willing to help. My home store. Any time I shop food is fresh and great price. Not only that there are coupons everywhere on thing you didn't even plan on getting deals on. With a family of 5 it works out great for me

Elizabeth Chaney: 06/13/2016 14:13

It's hard to describe why I really like this HEB a lot. The cashiers are patient, the night staff is cool and honest, I found a wallet and turned it in because that's how my dad raised me, and they threw a parade for me down the center aisle. Ok the last part didn't happen, but they made sure it made it back to its owner. It's small enough to get in and out really fast for some milk, Oreos and cereal, the breakfast of champions!!! Most people go to the bigger HEB down the road, so this one doesn't run out the meal deals. And the best reason of all is that the girl on the night stocking team has the best attitude and so helpful finding sodas every freaking time I shop at night, she is definitely a member of the A Team!!!

Patricio Flores Esparza III: 05/29/2016 02:35

This HEB has a wide selection, knowledgeable employees, and a large store worth visiting. The store has many things that a modern grocery should have like a wide variety of products, self-checkout, and dedicated meat and fish and bakery counters. The store itself is clean, well stocked and perfect for an quick stop.

Sheavon Guerra: 05/21/2016 03:02

I love this one since it was remodeled. Lots of parking in the garage under the store. The cart escalator, super cool, because the cart's wheels are magnetized to the ramp. No worries about it rolling down or back. Also only one down fall to this store is NO bagger's for the groceries?!? I still think its my favorite one tho!!!

Angela Ruybal: 04/13/2016 06:14

Had a great experience just the other day, I was in and out in ten minutes. Lines were non existent and I found the food I needed to get home and feed my family. Thanks HEB for being a great store to shop at. Great prices too!

Sylvia Antu: 03/05/2016 16:35

I love this store, it has everything I need. They have great selections, and very friendly. What I like the most is that when the check out lines start getting long they get right on it and make sure they put you in a line that is moving faster. They always have plenty of cashiers working. I like that! As for cleanses , there always on top of that. Not once have I gone when I don't see them cleaning . And not to be mean, I could go to the HEB on Nogalitos which is also close to me but although it's new, it doesn't have everything. It's lacking customer service, and in case you don't know, you have to bag your own groceries. And last but not least, I cannot close without saying this to the person that posted the review stating that this is a ghetto HEB, you are so wrong, in case you don't know ghetto is in the way a person portrays himself as YOU did in the things you said about this location.
