I had a horrible experience at their BBQ/roast pork section. The lady and man cutting the cooked meat did not have the decency to tell me that the roast pork piece they picked and cut for me did not have any meat on it. It was all fat and skin--no meat. If you order any thit heo quay, make sure you open the package to make sure it is not all fat and skin. Better yet, buy it from somewhere else. Viet Hoa should get rid of those people in that section. They are horrible.

This place smells a little by the produce, but I think it's just the durian. The fish counter is really good, everything fresh and a good deal. If you're looking for hard to find ingredients for eastern cuisine, this is a good place to check out.

This is my favorite Vietnamese market. It's big so you're likely to find what you're looking for here. It's organized, clean and doesn't smell as bad as other Vietnamese markets.

Except the unexpected smell hitting your face at the entrance, it is a good place to shop for fishes and vegetables even for a non-Asian person.

I prefer to come during the weekdays. It's a zoo on Beltway feeder road and Beechnut during weekend days. Don't even mention during the days of Lunar New Year Festival. The parking lot is always packed. I still love to shop at Viet Hoa Supermarket for roasted duck and charsu pork. They are delicious and inexpensive for a quick dinner. Then, the fresh fruits and festive candies are a-must for the holidays.
