Kroger on the map

Comments

Emmanuel Figueroa: 05/04/2017 01:48

They never ever have enough lanes open and they have some rude ass service.

Seth Steiger: 05/01/2017 04:03

New software for self check is terrible. You have someone watching me like a hawk and I can't take anything off the bagging area.

David Benedict: 04/29/2017 20:03

This Kroger's has to be one of the worst grocery stores I have ever seen. Restocking takes place on Sunday during the busiest time of the day so isles are clogged. If that wasn't bad enough, during the week the people doing the Clik-N-Pickup have carts that literally take up the entire isle. My wife has noticed mold on fruit and pointed it out to employees and then watched as they still placed the moldy fruit out for sale. Things we look forward to purchasing suddenly disappear from the shelves. I wish HEB would take notice and build a store out this way. They would make a killing on produce alone.

Geoff Huff: 04/28/2017 23:33

I spend more time in line here than I do actually shopping. Not to mention staff promptly locks the main doors at 8pm every night, forcing all in and out traffic through the same small set of doors. Any night time shopping is usually not worth the hassle.

G AM: 04/28/2017 23:14

I ALWAYS end up self-checking my groceries whether it is a hand basket or a full grocery cart no matter the time of day or day of the week. Rain or shine, grocery carts are hard to come by inside the store when you arrive at the store. Make sure you hunt for one as you walk through parking lot. Kroger has become the cringe in my running errands/to-do-list just like Wal-Mart.

Bethany Goldsack: 04/28/2017 04:20

Good store in a bad area. The best cashier is Melanie, super polite and fast. Other workers could improve but overall good.

Yili c: 04/28/2017 03:53

Didn't find what I was looking for but they have good customer service. Diane from the bakery was very helpful and friendly.

Jackie Bornstein: 04/27/2017 10:33

Good! But closed at nights.

Frank: 04/27/2017 06:30

Great selection! Helpfull staff AND management is very polite to all!!!

Kurt Watson: 04/27/2017 02:16

The store was well organized and clean. The cashier was very friendly!

only way to the only heaven .Jh.ch3v16&John.ch14v6!: 04/25/2017 02:55

Were you pay more to get less don't be there sucker shop around 1#Joe vs smart shop on uvalde road and 2#walmart on walisville YOUR creepiest for food Kroger gouges food prices for rich suckers sorry don't mean to be rude but true if keep shopping hear whith out shopping around don't be a racist just because other people shop at the cheapest store's Thayer smart with there money why you have less for Bill's and needs

Nadine Villarreal: 04/24/2017 06:58

I received a rain check on 3/28 for brisket @ 1.77 per lb.from my store 322. I could not find briskets in my area so I called the store located at 14710 Woodforest. They had plenty to choose from. I picked my 2 briskets and the cashier Michael asked Cynthia for assistance. She looked at my rain check and said " we can't use this rain check it is out of our district". She did not want to hear what I had to say and pointed to the customer service desk when I asked for the Manager. I completed the transaction by paying full price for the brisket. I walked up to the courtesy booth and asked for the manager's name and phone number. The man I was talking to, said he was the manager and said he would honor the rain check. He apologized and asked Delvin to assist me. While Delvin was checking me out a girl named Aleah said what are you doing? She told Delvin to get away and let her do it. She did not know what she was doing and They asked Cynthia the Supervisor for help and she shook her head and kept walking. She went and stood by the front door watching the chaos. Cynthia does not have the professionalism it takes to be a supervisor at a Kroger. She refused to help her staff because she did not want me to use my rain check.

LaShonda Clark: 04/23/2017 06:09

This store is clean and have excellent in-store sales. The employees here are very helpful in any question I may have on products. Every time my mom comes into town she have to go to this store.

Stephine Welch: 04/22/2017 19:23

This place is great. The only thing that isn't great, it's the same issue that ALL Krogers have. The self check out lanes read out the peices of your items... Complete with the part about the Kroger card discount. This makes self check out considerably slower. But, the store is clean, huge with a wide variety of food items. They even have a spacesuit display in the doorway in one of the entrances. That was pretty awesome.

Emily Trinh: 04/21/2017 20:38

Previous review was right, at night no one is there to help check you out and there is a super rude older woman who is an employee there.

Breanna Sherman: 04/21/2017 20:12

Nice people good food in the deli and nice cashiers!!!

Alexander Gonzales: 04/15/2017 02:14

Sad to see this store close. I refuse to go to Walmart, Fiesta and Foodtown. Very trashy places, hence why I go to Kroger :(

Andrea Mulla: 04/14/2017 19:19

The Staff & Store Manager Roger are amazing!! They are always very helpful & polite in helping you find anything you need!! Great Customer Service!!!

Richard Wright: 04/14/2017 05:28

Went in to get beef rib-eye steaks that were on sale and of course they were out! This has happened before and I quit going to Kroger, thought I'd try again but same thing, I walked out and didn't buy anything.

Jonathan Zapata: 04/14/2017 01:35

Great Kroger. Always very clean and organized. They have hot breakfast and lunch plates if you head over to the food side. Sushi always looks fresh. Wide variety of wine at this location. Friendly and helpful staff.

Marcus LaBrie: 04/04/2017 20:07

Just started going to this location and it is nice. Has all the features you would look for and has a good layout.

Cheryl L: 03/24/2017 04:44

This store needs to be updated asap or closed altogether!! Management should put a stop to customers entering the store in their pajamas. Staff NEVER ask if they can assist you except for Ms. Brenda, the black lady, who works the self help register area, at the front of the store. Sometimes the workers in the meat department will ask if they can assist you but more than likely will ignore you. There is a Hispanic lady that works the produce section who is friendly and always asks me if she may assist me. This store is one mile away but I opt to drive to the Kroger in Humble at the 1960 Bypass because customers are greeted with a smile and are very helpful; also the store is always clean and food is fresher. Traveling the distance is well worth the professional service and organization...received after all I spend my money for great service!

clara saenz: 03/23/2017 21:40

I saw Ivan and I vomitted because that boy is so disgusting I couldn't stand to look at him he sucks at his job one time i saw him drop a bread lmao

Delia Krimmel: 03/22/2017 17:32

Great and clean store. It must be one of their nicer ones. It's always clean and their self check out machines work faster than the ones at my local Kroger. I've always found anything I needed here. From organic chocolate, fruits, sushi, body products, etc.

Sunny Y.: 03/22/2017 04:35

I've been coming to this Kroger location for 5+ years and it's my go to grocery store in Houston. The staff is welcoming and friendly. This location keeps all my favorite items in stock. They have diesel for my 7.3! Thank you!

Quianna Cameron: 03/22/2017 00:34

Very convenient as far as distance from home...very fresh fruit, vegetable section could use some work but overall great experience. My cashier was very nice.

Courtney Dyers: 03/20/2017 01:08

Alejandra at the customer service counter is the worst representative for "customer" service at this store! Every time I need to return something or need help at self checkout, there's ALWAYS an issue with her! If it's that my frozen meat is 23 days expired (the policy is 30 days!!!!), or if it's that I asked for a store credit, she always gives a hard time and won't honor my returns! We come here about twice a week and because of her I want to switch to HEB across the street!! Kofi and Jada are super awesome and always help out with a smile and make us feel so welcome but then Alejandra ruins it all with her attitude and lack of helpful service!

Ayeshia Powell: 03/10/2017 20:35

Convenient, mostly helpful staff, well stocked and a good variety of goods. They do have expecting mother parking spots as well. Always a bonus.

Stephine Welch: 03/09/2017 18:43

This place is clean and the employees are helpful and friendly. I've only had one huge problem which was not handled very well. Other than that I go here often and will continue to go. The Starbucks inside is also great. They always make my coffee right and get it done fast.

Kathy Rubin: 03/06/2017 21:20

After stopping at the grocery store across the street, where I encountered horrible customer service and people more interested in stocking shelves than assisting a customer, I stopped at this Kroger store. I found two young men in the freezer section that completely left what they were doing in order to assist me and help me find the unusual items that I needed. Both of these young men were helpful and friendly. The next time I'm in this area, Kroger will be the ONLY place I go to. Please let these two young men know that they made a huge difference for me!

Inga Berryman: 03/05/2017 01:43

This Kroger is super convenient. I have noticed that they appear to be less hectic than HEB. I'm not sure if it's because the isles are wider than HEB's but I never feel crowded in Kroger like I do in HEB. The staff is friendly (they always say hello and ask how you're doing) and helpful. Staff is always busy stocking the shelves and items are always stacked neatly and they have a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as meats. The Delicatessen offers warm items like fried chicken, noodles, rice and other items. There's also a case with sushi, rolls, dumplings and sandwiches, and a salad bar, which has the regular items like mixed greens, tomatoes, onions, carrots, etc. to make your own salad. Their fresh guacamole (spicy and non-spicy) is made in house and is delicious. Overall a great grocery! #LocalGuide

Nour A.: 03/02/2017 17:26

Location is good as it is off main road Westheimer. The parking is large so no problem to find a spot. They have a Kroger fuel station which offers cheaper fuel for members. The store is in a middle class neighborhood. The fresh produce is of good quality but prices are on high side. They have a good selection of organic and health foods, a flower shop and bakery as well.

Craig Galvan: 03/02/2017 04:26

This location is smaller with less selection than the location down the street. But, the staff is nicer, it's not as crowded, and the self check out lanes usually all work (eldridge location had a software update which crashes and leaves the self check out lanes broken all the time. This creates very long wait times at eldridge). Much less of a wait time at this Kroger.

HARSH MODI: 03/02/2017 03:11

It's a good store and gives good discount on reward card which is also free to get and compatible with android pay so no need to keep physically with you always.

Cindy Juarez: 03/01/2017 08:39

I love the savings and the coupons they send for being loyal customer but men the customer service is not that great thy dont help u for none they need to be more helpful with customers needs

Dan Bantner: 03/01/2017 03:27

A nice Krogers. Parking can be tough at times, not a lot of spaces, and it fills up easily around lunchtime. Of course good selection of food. Not retail items here, just groceries.

Monica De Anda: 02/26/2017 22:34

Well stocked, big parking lot, gas station, great Deli, pharmacy, flourist, bakery, wines, fruits and veggies selection. Clean store and parking lot. Beautiful cake decorating! This is the only Krogers I'll buy cupcakes or cakes from.

Alexa Hernandez: 02/25/2017 06:13

The manager at this store Tony is the worst. Has no customer service at all, never coming to this store again. They really need to train him more on how to really take care of the customer.

Lance Campbell: 02/24/2017 09:43

I shop here regularly the only thing I don't like is the deli it's not great (not terrible but not great). Over all a good place to get groceries regularly.

ima beech: 02/24/2017 07:15

try not to go there as much. there's an extremely rude older, African-American female at the self checkouts. today had coupons and she was there. gave me the dirtiest look, like i was BOTHERING HER! i don't know her, don't talk to her, don't bother her, nothing. but i hear her talking so sweet to other customers and co workers. i don't care, but don't give me dirty looks and be rude to me when i don't know you and you don't know me. next time i see her, I'm just gonna leave my cart and walk out. even if I'm in the middle of checking out my stuff.

Adrienne Dove: 02/23/2017 18:39

Worst customer service ever at service center. Never more than one person working and the person doesn't even call for help. Nine people in the line early morning needing to get to work..Now people agitated before they go to work. Nigerians aren't customer driven anyway. Working with the public you have to be customer driven and at least acknowledge they are there. No manager no where. No courtesy at all.

Maria Elema Blanco: 02/22/2017 23:17

I like becouse always found good prices and good cuality food ,but one cashier always its looking in not good mode ,like i not like her ,becouse nor smile and a few times not ask me for my card ,and last time she move the bags station and i not ready yet to pickup my staff and my flowers going down and she not say excusme ma'am she don't care

chelsea penn: 02/22/2017 04:26

Nice staff, sometimes not enough check put lanes open. Fairly safe after dark. Be cautious in parking lot, lots of homeless in this area and inside store.

Kelsey Olive: 02/20/2017 17:38

Great store, but I went by this morning and there was a sign on the door stating "Closed until further notice."

Chelsea Alexander: 02/19/2017 18:53

They closed the Kroger on OST near my house, although I was disappointed this Kroger is significantly better in every way. Wider selection, better service, great staff. It also has a gas station. Parking is okay, not great. During peak hours you might be searching for a bit

Alibots: 02/11/2017 17:07

Great veggie area and almost always clean. Pharmacy can be slow sometimes but they have great people there. Parking lot is really small thoigh and hazardous to drive in.

S Martinez: 02/10/2017 18:59

This is my neighborhood Krogers and sorry to say that they never have enough cashiers. The only time they have more than 3 cashiers is if a holiday is coming up. The parking lot is always dirty. This place needs to be updated. They should make it look like the stores in Humble and Heights area. It seems like Kroger overlooks our store because it is in a poorer neighborhood.

Ashley B.: 02/09/2017 18:23

I love this location. It is always clean and the staff is friendly.

S Wolff: 02/06/2017 21:37

Friendly workers and checkers. Always willing to help you. Pretty good competitive pricing with the other grocery stores in the area. They also have click it to have somebody else pick up your groceries and have it waiting for you when you get there. Parking is lucrative. Plenty of eateries in the area if you want to eat before you go grocery shopping.

Travis Lancaster: 02/05/2017 10:04

Absolutely horrible customer service. Simply put there was none. They refuse to open a register and had people lined up 15 deep for self checkout while 4 employees stood around laughing and talking and watching you do THEIR job..will not return dye to the corporate outlook of their customers as ..." Cone in get your stuff, check yourself out, GIVE ME YOUR MONEY, bag your stuff and get out of my store....pathetic and the owners of this store should be embarassed...I didn't know i was scheduled

Luis M Chen: 02/05/2017 07:22

This Kroger's store I frequent most often. Because it's closest to my house, but not my favorite. I wish they hire more parking lot attendants to bus the shopping carts more often on weekends. Don't know why the cashier is clueless with the Super Bowl of Giving. He scanned the bag and put it in my cart. I told him, "no. It's not how it works." Then, he took it off of my bill and put the bag back to the shelf.

Gloria Mata: 02/04/2017 21:35

I usually go here just for a money order, bit from time to time I do buy a few things or use the pharmacy. So far I have had pretty good service. Though from time to time they close the customer service booth super early and I have had to go else where. That was a problem.

Brigida Dusel: 01/31/2017 09:38

Shish Tawook tasted great the Chicken Shawarma tasted amazing but the Hummus tasted little bit funny like they put to much chickpeas or Lemon Juice in it cause it had a funny taste to it and it was really to watery and I know my Hummus my aunt makes it homemade and it's perfecto plus Kabob House makes it good

Carla Anderson: 01/30/2017 23:24

It is close to me. The store is well organized with specials clearly visible. Prices are good. Store and pharmacy personnel are helpful and kind.

Eric Rechlin: 01/28/2017 07:34

Not quite as good as the H-E-B across the street, but the pork and seafood and some other products are better here. Don't like the card-based membership program but other than that it's just fine and far better than the average Kroger.

Mike P: 01/27/2017 02:11

seems pricey but employees were nice and helpful and it wasnt very crowded with customers, short check out line

Erika Garcia: 01/25/2017 19:47

Has great deals on the weekly and when you do add up gas points it is easy to cash in gas stations.

Nidia Mendoza: 01/13/2017 04:30

Unfortunately this location has gotten really run down and "ghetto," quite frankly sketchy to even park your car here long enough for you to grocery shop. *be cautious* Flower selection is TERRIBLE, every time I've tried to purchase there one good set of flowers and the rest are mangled, not treated well at all. The employees here are either really bored, don't care or dgaf all together, the store shows that and so does the yawning, rudeness, constant on their phones, ignoring customers. I ran in here in emergency giving it another chance but it proved again constant years of disappointment for the area.

Louise Swain: 01/08/2017 19:51

I have been shopping here since it opened in 1980. Clean, friendly and good selection. I have noticed over the last few years that some of my favorite products have been squeezed out to make room for Kroger's private labels. Fortunately, I can usually find them at Randall's, HEB or internet.

J. R. Jones: 01/04/2017 06:57

Consider the neighborhood, is as polite as I can start, it is a low income area and has a bit of crime. The facility is swept and kept clean but shelves and display cases need updating. Staff is visible but in two years no one has offered assistance. Yesterday I called ahead about an item, I was told "yes" they carry it and that "6" of the item was on the shelves. I arrived 10 minutes later and found 0 of the item on the shelf. I left. Oh, they have organic items at reasonable prices.

Really well stocked store. Huge store. Large produce area. Clean market.

Produce is never fresh! The meat looks bad. You will never find cookies or bread that were baked fresh that day. But you can at HEB . HEB is cheaper anyways. Overall the staff was pretty nice. Of course there is always a few bad apples anywhere you go. It also pretty clean but the aisles as pretty small. You can fit two shopping carts beside each other and thats it. I only shop here if it is on the way somewhere else.

Today for the first time in my life..I experienced discrimination. I was picking up my prescription for these flu symptoms and while trying to heal myself..I had to take care of friend who was at the ER across the street. I figured I'd run to the store while I waited for her to be seen. So I grabbed the few items I needed and proceeded to the self check out. The bald Caucasian attendant begin to ring up my stuff. Several people behind us were looking and confused as they needed help but he wouldn't budge from my register. I asked him, do you do this for everyone? He replied only if they have alot of items..I replied I have 12 items, 4 which are soda's. He replied well those who may need my help. So as he rings, the lady behind me who has a large basket full..Is sitting there as she needs help. I tell him, the lady behind me needs your service. As he walked off, I attempted to ring up my last 2 items but could not. He said, oh I have control of it so you can't scan. I replied, Excuse me?? He said, I am just doing my job. I tell him, well your job is inadequate as I do not need your help, if I need your service I will call for you. As the self checkout attendant, you are to sit here until the screen and or customer needs your assistance. I feel completely insulted as there were several people with large baskets, yet you made it your duty to single me out and ring up EVERY SINGLE ITEM!! You were so busy trying to see if I would steal, you aren't even assisting your other customers. He replied, I am sorry. I tell him I do not accept your apology so find me someone to talk too. The night manager comes and I inform him of what happens. He offers me an apology but at this point it will not suffice. Here I am, a 28 year old female of African American decent who believes in the law so much it was my field of study in school..And I stand here today at damn near 2017 and I am treated like a common criminal. I have never in my life felt so degraded and disrespected. I inform the manager that I am a Quality Assurance Analyst and I abate and or settle disputes all day. I detect and look into accounts when a customer states the order is fraud, or was not placed by them. I also investigate and submit claims for unaccounted for items so I know how bad theft can damage a company. I hate to file a Attorney General and or Better Business Bureau complaint because I know how bad they hurt a company. So when I voiced how uncomfortable I was and how I felt singled out, he should have moved and allowed me to check out. So whom ever the clerk was who works the night shift should know that this is unacceptable and if it wasn't for customers like ME who spend $$ at your facility, YOU wouldn't have a check. I was so mad I cried walking out of that store. God held my temper and controlled my anger. I treat EVERYONE the same, even CLERKS!! My family is blended and enriched with all colors so skin hues hold no definition to me. Today I learned no matter how good of a person you are, how kind you are..How much of a model citizen you try to be there is no liberty and damn sure NO justice for all. No matter how good your grades were in school. How high you GPA was or what degree you hold, we will forever be judged by the color of our skin.. WELCOME TO AMERICA!!

Affordable grocer with good promotions, decent selection, and healthily revolving stock. There's an organic section with decent selection. The international sections tend to stick to staples, but have a few surprising options, too. The store tends to be neat and organized, and the staff friendly. This grocer isn't "fancy," but I wouldn't remove a star for aesthetics because it's just trying to be a solid grocer, not some experiential innovation in grocery shopping.

I love to shop at my local Kroner store. Has a large variety of fresh produce and the store brands are just as good so I do a mix of store and other brands. Helps me save up on cost without compromising quality. Great savings when you have the loyalty card as well. And... The staff here are really helpful and friendly. Only thing I dislike is when they take the salad from the refrigeration area on Saturdays when they are on sale. Like... who does that? It's salad. Keep refrigerated. Whoever cares about the sale will go to the regular location to pick.

The store is not necessarily bad, however, it is loaded with perverts. I've had weirdos follow me around the store just to try and look at the woman's butt who was with me. I bought chicken breasts the other day and the packaging was filthy. The chicken had strange black flecks on it. In addition, Corey, in the meat department, chose to stare at the woman I as with, rather than assist me with a meat purchase. When he saw me looking at him, he blatantly continued to leer at her and then smiled sadistically at me. Great customer service Corey! Thanks! Leave your daughters and wives at home if you plan on shopping here!

I absolutely love this place to shop for my groceries. And, Paul at USCAN makes it worth my trip. He is just one nice employee.

This is a great place to shop for groceries! I've been going here for over six years now and I've never had a single issue. The employees are always very nice to shoppers. The store itself is well organized and all of the items I ever need are already available. There are hardly ever long lines and when they do, everybody from their staff contributes, even their management personnel. This Kroger recently started online shopping, which you can buy things online and pick them up at the store, like many other places do. This is a great feature if you're running short on time and need your things quickly. Overall, I've had such a wonderful experience shopping here. The store is mostly clean and is located in a great area!

Whoever said don't let the reviews fool you, please don't listen to them. Obviously, everyone is entitled to their opinion and when you have such a large number of customers daily, once in a while I'm sure something doesn't go right. However, I shop here almost everyday( at the gas station a few times a week) and I know most of the employees and managers. I know where almost everything is since I shop here do much, but if there is something I can't find they don't just point me towards it, they walk me to it. I've never gotten anything out of date. I usually use the self checkouts and have had the employees chase after me many times when I've left groceries, my change, etc. In my opinion, BEST grocery store in Houston.

Always great service. Has this really great vibe in there where you can come in and get what you need and head back out. Friendly employees.

I've been here sadly few times and it's the worst I've ever been to! Employees are so terrible and shady! Never have they been any helpful but so rude and just the worst! Never stop there! Food is not fresh, pretty much never found water, they are always out of everything! Why is it still there and open! If you're passing by, keep going, and find another store. This store made me stop shopping at any Kroger

We just went here two nights ago and it was our first trip. I was quite pleased at the merchandise in stock, despite them NOT having the pumpkin spice creamer I was hoping for. :( However the coupons saved them from losing a star! They had many great deals on a variety of foods, and some fantastic meats on sale. My husband and I both agreed we enjoyed it and would go back next time we needed to shop. Oh, and on top of that they opened a line for us even though the one we were in was hardly long! so much better than competitors.

Customer Service was good but not excellent. Cashier was constantly on her cell phone while ringing up my items. Store didn't have a lot of merchandise I needed in stock. Overall, My experience could have been better . Should of went to CVS
