Love how inexpensive the food is but warning the check outs are always full and they are understaffed, seems like I'm always getting stuck behind someone with wick and it takes forever

Although their is limited variety I am always able to find what I need at great prices. It can get very crowded but that is to be expected. The fresh baked bread is awesome!

Ghetto with ghetto and ugly people in it but very cheap.. i can't wait to move up north .

Went there two times and really liked it And after going to Fiesta which is across the street decided to leave this guys a review because they deserve it They are much BETTER than the FIESTA THE products look more accurately placed on shelves and cleaner for sure And the price at Joe are lower as well

Great place to save cash on groceries, just don't go on the weekends or afternoons. This place gets packed. I really wish you didn't have to pack your own sacks

They have good produce and groceries for half of what you would pay at HEB. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. When you have a large family and are on a budget, this is the ideal place. Who cares if you have to bag your groceries...at the prices you get, it's worth it. People should not complain about that. What does it take out of you to bag YOUR groceries? Don't be lazy. Side note : I have seen the cashiers always help the elderly bag their groceries. They even help me...

I visit this store for the first time its been some months I even visit.the cashier was so nonchalant til I thought I have done something wrong that look on her face said a lot.I love the store I use to visit every friday to buy my groceries I am a people person I wasn't greeted are anything I thought she would have smiled one time.in my field of work I can be in so much pain you will never no it because I am a people person always making sure people is happy.and if they don't wont to work they need to find another job ijs

I really love the prices at this store. I try to stop by every few weeks to see what type of great deals they have. The selection isn't as great as a larger HEB store if that is what you are expecting. It is a discount store that has affordable essentials and lots of HEB store brands; you can't beat the prices of many of the items that they carry compared to traditional grocery stores.

The cheapest grocery all over Houston .... Almost everything is available.... If you want to save some money you have to choose it.... But keep in your mind they accept only cash and debit card NO CREDIT CARD ;so prepare yourself.... Good luck

The only store I ever heard of customer service opening at 10! Smh. That and the long lines and always out of stock food, I don't know whose worse them or walmart

Joe V's is the best store if you have a small budget on foodstamps. I buy HEB products at a no frills store for less than the prices at other local stores. The HEB brand soda is 65¢ and tastes the same as national brands. The food is great, and the bollios are 8 for $1.

Most of the time you will find what you need at a fair price. I am surprised at the quality of their meat. You have to bag your own groceries and that can be a problem if you are watching to see the prices you are charged. I shop here nearly every day.

Kimberleigh Shinai: 12/10/2016 00:27

You will have to bag your own groceries. I have seen women with small children and extremely elderly people struggle to bag their own groceries, while the cashier plays with her hair. The cashiers does not clean their counters on a regular basis. They will have everything from milk residue to chicken blood on their counters. For health reasons, look at the counter before placing your groceries on the counter. The cashiers will usually have cleaning fluid and paper towels under their counters. Don't be shy. Request that the cashier cleanse the counter. You and your family may become sick if you don't pay attention.

The only thing that I do not like about Joe V's is that it is always so crowded. Other than that, I really do not go to any other grocery store very much. Unless they don't have what I am looking for. Most stuff in here is incredibly cheap. Love it here.
