H-E-B Grocery on the map

Comments

Teddy Fisk: 05/02/2017 04:04

Great location in Kingwood. Food is allways fresh and cheap. Love the sales

Forrest Liu: 05/02/2017 02:49

It took a very long time for someone to help us find sunscreen. Most of the staff do not seem very knowledgeable about what is in the shelves.

Karmelita Straight: 04/30/2017 14:52

This is a dirty, poorly serviced store. I've visited this store on two occasions and each visit something I purchased was expired. The H-E-B has a poor selection of things. The workers look ghetto as hell and they are not very helpful. The floor on both visits were dusty and the shelves stacked like someone who just didn't give a damn. There is always a crowd and the cashier are always having problems. This place is just so disgusting. wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Muhammad AlTakriti: 04/29/2017 06:09

It's well-organized and have good quality products Return policy won't get your satisfaction Needs more employees for check out

Tiffany Nicole Reyes: 04/22/2017 16:11

By far, my favorite grocery store in Houston. It's like a regular HEB & a Central Market combined. The store is HUGE, but easy to learn & navigate. The only drawback... People not from the Memorial/Spring Branch area drive in to shop, causing over crowding on the weekends. The selection of groceries is incomparable as they are always bringing in the latest food products and are clearly making a push towards locally sourced products.

Franzi Zornoza Sanchez: 04/22/2017 08:28

This lady working there treated me in front of everyone very very bad..... I couldn't hear her when she asked me for my ID so she got offensive when I said what? .. so she respond... excuse me!???? ..... eeeee no HEB that is not manners! She scream to me when I showed her my Spanish ID and she said it was fake. Not coming back there, sorry but you lost a client, people deserve a better treat, and also you should hire people with better manners and respect!

Margot Reyes: 04/19/2017 03:58

This is the worse HEB I have ever been to. It's sad that none of the Managers or associates in blue shirts help out. The lines are long and move at a snails pace. And the cashiers are so unfriendly,,probably because they are so over worked. I needed to fuel up my car and the attendant had her back to me and I must have stood there about a good 5 minutes until I finally opened the drawer and put my money in, without her knowing. Then she was trying to communicate with me by using hand signals. I guess her intercom wasn't working,,,but then again Sulema, was on her phone,,,,the worse customer service. I'll never come back.

Ben Goza: 04/13/2017 21:08

Needs more parking, but they keep taking away what few spots they have by putting in things no one wants, like food trucks (it's 2017 get over it) and now curb side pickup. Bad business decision too. Anyone who's ever managed a grocery store knows just how valuable extra parking spots are. PEOPLE CANT SHOP THERE IF THEY CANT PARK THERE. Plus it's pretty insulting that they would prioritize the customers who couldn't even bother to show up over the ones who shop there regularly because it's our neighborhood grocery store. Get competent management.

Bree Galvan: 04/10/2017 06:07

Fairly new to the area and this is my go to grocery store. Always having the things I need and was truly easy to find everything my first time in. Staff is great and always so helpful!

Glenn & Candice Petru: 04/08/2017 04:46

Just tried the Curbside program today for the first time. Wow! That was absolutely painless, and the people working the curbside area were so nice and courteous! My pick up time was between 4:30-5pm on a Friday, and from the time I pulled into the parking lot and was driving out of the parking lot was less than 5 minutes. The Bunker Hill HEB location is one of the busiest in Houston (but also one with a HUGE selection of products), so their parking lot and traffic going thru it can get a bit crazy at times, not to mention trying to maneuver a basket thru the clogged aisles at peak times. I think I would still prefer to go shopping inside the store to select my own things if I had a lot of produce or certain types of meat/seafood on my list, but the few produce items i received today were right on target with what I would have selected myself. Every time you order, you build a history - so after a few times it will become even easier to just click on the items you want to order again. Really slick and streamlined program! Thank you so much - I will definitely be using Curbside again! Candice

OUT OF STATE DRIVERS LICENSES ARE NOT ACCEPTED TO PURCHASE ALCOHOL Tonight I attempted to buy a bottle of Prosseco along with the rest of my groceries and learned something that's never happened anywhere else. At 26 years old with a valid drivers license in hand I was refused by the cashier and the manager to purchase alcohol because my license wasn't a Texas one (sorry I'm new here). Apparently out of staters ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PURCHASE ALCOHOL as of 4-7-17.

Christine Phrasavath: 04/06/2017 09:32

This HEB is my go to grocery store when I'm on this side of town. They have a wider selection of food and alcohol. Plus, it's much cleaner and the staff are more knowledgeable.

Michael Cunningham: 04/03/2017 16:52

Excellent new modern HEB that is always staffed adequately. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes at a checkout.

Chase Allen: 04/02/2017 03:20

I would give this place a 4.5 but rounding up to 5. Great prices and friendly staff. The only problem is they don't carry some stuff other HEBs do like cotton candy grapes and mochi ice cream I saw at another HEB. Maybe this is not the flagship store but I still like it a lot.

Morgan Connell: 04/01/2017 00:35

If you're looking for some yummy wine and need help with your selection, just ask Nick. He is very friendly and super knowledgeable! Overall the store is very clean and everyone is very professional. Seafood here is very fresh, plenty of baked goods to chose from. Managers are visible and helpful. By far my favorite grocery store not only in this area but period. Great shopping experience here, the employees really care!

Karla Gonzalez: 03/29/2017 17:59

I LOVE HEB for many reasons. 1. HEB is super close to my house. 2. There is always 1-3 managers at the check out guiding us to the shortest lines. 3. I can go pay my bills at the customer service. 4. They always have good coupons on the items And groceries that I always buy. 5. They're prices are already cheap. 6. They have really fast cashiers and mindful baggers that offer me carry outs every time. 7. I love the deli and how they have delicious to-go lunches and salads ! 8. Also gotta love they're express lines when I'm in a hurry. 9. I could find any product there, they have a wide selection

Christine Doty: 03/28/2017 01:26

Customer service at this location is not great at all. I was dealing with two upset children and I wasn't paying attention to which register I went too. I accidentally went to an express lane, but there was no one behind me. After ringing up all my items the guy was like, next time you need to go to a regular register because you came to the express line and you have too many items. If there was a long line behind me then fine, but there wasn't. I was pretty irritated because this isn't the first time I have delt with rude HEB employees at this HEB. I should have just walked out and went to another one, but with two small children that is a big pain to have to deal with.

Puneet Tripathi: 03/27/2017 08:56

HEB is known for its fresh products but staff at this location is either not trained or not watched by management. They are not at all courteous and often show dull behaviour like if they are forced to do their job.

Luis M Chen: 03/22/2017 13:28

Really fancy place to shop compared to many H-E-B stores I've been to. It has a very well maintained outdoor atmosphere. I don't mind to try it during the day.

Stephanie Briles: 03/20/2017 01:42

If I could, I would give them 10 stars. This is the best grocery store you will ever visit. They always have what I need. Their employees are friendly. The curbside grocery pick up is a life saver all the time!

Joe Isaac: 03/18/2017 23:57

Compared to Kroger, I think the customer service at this location is really bad. They just don't get it at this location. I don't want to waste my time typing out the details. I will just drive an extra half a mile and go to Kroger.

Koorosh Kanani: 03/09/2017 08:28

Best experience you might ever have of shopping in same stores. Full collection of local, national and international items; well organized and easy to find; large variety of healthy food (organic, gluten free, ...); professional service and customer service; always perfect!... and FAST

Paul Hart: 03/08/2017 23:40

The workers great but some of the customers are rude and pushy. The should have more mobility scooters for people who have a hard time walking around.

Chad Russell: 03/03/2017 08:43

This store needs a couple people from corporate to come in undercover and try to make a return without a receipt. The return policy without a receipt at this store is discriminatory on the basis of what they call proper identification. Last week I was in the customer service line to make a purchase. Two people in front of me had returns and neither had a receipt. One customer had a US passport as identification and the other had no identification at all. Both customers were able to do their return and received HEB gift cards. Today I wanted to exchange my purchase and was denied by the same management who approved the other customers returns saying that returns exchanges without a receipt can only be done with a Texas issued identification. He was wiling to do it when I provided him the date, time, register, and exact items I purchased. At that point I changed my mind and went to another store. This is the same management that did returns who accepted a US passport as identification and then accepted no identification at all. When he was willing to bend his made up rule for me if I would prove the exact date and time, but not accept my identification for an even exchange, I changed my mind. Corporate, this is a clear cut case of making up and bending rules. It sets a bad precedent. HEB it's your policy that you do not do exchanges or returns without an identification at all. Clean up your management here and hold them accountable. When you have favoritism and exceptions it not only sets a bad precedent on your store, it opens a door for this very thing to possibly be perceived in a different light and taken offensively and personally by another future customer and discriminatory in a different tone. In my situation, my valid identification was discriminated on the basis of a made up rule. Preferential and/or deferential treatment by people in positions with a little authority is not acceptable. It makes the store look bad. Your management is your reflection of people you trust and I do not trust anyone who abuses and misuses their authority. Definitely a one star. Clean this store up corporate.

Meisa Gannam: 03/01/2017 03:11

I wish it was a bigger store with a better variety of options. Some items are a but pricey. And parking situation confuses me In that general area. Bathrooms could be cleaner.

ursula hill: 02/28/2017 05:46

Their busiest times are Sundays and Mondays. It never fails, they never have all registers open. Lines are ridiculous! They only want to throw the 15 items or less lines open when there are many ppl with more than 15 items. Worse experience of H-E-B EVER! . Manager Matthew is rude! No type of customer service!

Christine Binner: 02/24/2017 06:37

I love this HEB and I love buying their fresh flowers however, the older blonde woman that works in the floral department has been rude to me and my husband on several occasions. It's obvious she hates dealing with the public and she apparently needs a new line of work. This woman has worked here for years and we've been shopping here for 8+ years. She has always made us feel unwelcome and like we are a burden. Shame on this woman for treating her customers this way. HEB please reevaluate your staff, in the meantime I'll pray for this mean-spirited woman.

Jean Pi: 02/23/2017 22:03

Little bit older looking inside than all the other HEB's. You get treated nice though.

Don Quach: 02/22/2017 10:04

A very big HEB but doesn't seem to have the items I typically need from the other locations I am used to going.

Selena Torres: 02/19/2017 11:17

My husband works for this company, myself I love shopping at Heb I like the reasonable prices but not until I find out what type of managers really hold at this "so call family friendly" place. There is an overnight manager name Tony would constanly mess with my husband about his work and he has not ever had this problem only with this guy here. I know my husband didn't want me to make a big deal but as his wife I am because not only is he cutting his work hours he is messing with our family's money instead of helping us he just doesn't give a damn I personally think. I can not work much do to medical reasons, my husband has complain about him but nothing much was done like what the heck he gets payed $12hr and they have him work one day then the next week no days of work what type of crap is that it is bull they mess with his hours and I sure and hell know there is plenty to give out. Howard Edward butt company is supposed to be helpful place that works with their employees and everything but with people like this tony guy no..... Thank you to the lord he has provided my beloved husband with a great job and works 6 days a week with understanding people and good manager, since I am not able to work. I am just upset at this company for not working with a good employee because of this manager Tony . people like that really give good known companies a bad name an as customer also makes me think how they really treat people that are outsiders instead of being united as one in a company it is more different than that with this pacific place especially overnight.

Jeromy Benavides: 02/16/2017 09:08

The place has everything you would typically need and is very well taken care of. This location can get busy with the after work crowd, so avoid it if you can. Other than that, fresh fruits/veggies and meat are much appreciated.

CelestialSteph: 02/16/2017 06:36

Their curbside pickup is awesome! They have only ever forgotten one item out of about 10 orders and when I called to let them know, they delivered it to my home! They are so friendly and it's so convenient. If you order a couple days ahead there's no charge. But you can pay a few bucks and get it same day too. Their service is outstanding!

konne bawden: 02/16/2017 03:26

Yesterday which was Valentine's Day, I received wonderful service from the manager at this store, Albert! He was exceptionally helpful and I could tell he cares a lot about customer service. I was actually so pleasantly surprised at his response to my needed purchase. HEB on Chimney Rock & Braeswood has a great manager!

Jacob: 02/09/2017 05:15

Lacking organic choices in produce. Great prices on OTC medications. Staff is generally helpful and friendly.

Kristy Payne: 02/07/2017 22:48

Love the new HEB in Kingwood. Every time I go into a store, I'm like a kid in a candy store. I love the quality and selection. Always finding treasures.

Melissa Hinojosa: 02/06/2017 20:57

We go to this location 4 or more times per week. We like the variety of foods as well as the prices. The HEB products are good as well. The pharmacy is efficient. The beer/wine section is decent and beats prices of nearby liquor stores. Our overall experience with the cashiers is positive. We actually drive past 3 grocery stores to get to this HEB...so you can tell we love this place.

Kenneiyaah Henry: 02/06/2017 05:27

Its a good store it just needs A LOT of upgrading

Veronica Vital: 02/04/2017 05:15

Why the hell do you give coupons if you don't want customers to use them. I seriously felt like I was robbing them of 1.50 because every cashier examines the damn coupon like it was a hundred dollar bill. Beware also the business center is scammers they can reverse your Payments this happened to me keep all of your documents.

Kayla Love: 02/03/2017 17:59

It's time to renovate this store especially the refrigerator and raw meat area, and expand food selection. An international food aisle would be nice..

Julio Ovalle: 02/02/2017 05:49

Well stocked and good deals. Also I haven't used this specific location's pharmacy before but HEB's pharmacies are way cheaper than even Wal-Mart and provide faster service than other pharmacies.

Jared Sampson: 01/26/2017 04:50

This store has an incredible selection and some things that don't make it to most stores. I come here all the way from Pearland just because they have dry aged ribeyes in stock and they will make personal cuts at your request! Love the quality and courteous service.

Ted Weisgal: 01/23/2017 21:13

The entire staff goes out of their way to be helpful and they respond eagerly to suggestions. This store is expected to expand. Then it will be even better.

Annah Chulam: 01/12/2017 07:46

Their paper bags no longer have handles - probably trying to save some money. That makes it ridiculously hard to carry your groceries home, leaving only plastic bags. Would like to see an eco-friendly option, please put the handles back

Luis M Chen: 12/25/2016 19:07

This H-E-B is further away from my house but I love it better. It costs a little more than the Chinatown store. Because meat, seafood and produce are much fresher. I can find Splenda and other healthy food selections. Unlike the one in Chinatown, some dietary items are dusty or expired. Restroom is well kept. Employees seem happier to help customers. Hey, everything is better here.

Luis M Chen: 12/11/2016 04:45

It's my neighborhood H-E-B. I'm here often enough to shop what I can. This is also known for the cheapest H-E-B grocery store in Houston. Don't being high expectations, or you'll be very disappointed. Check my photos for my like and dislikes.

Melissa Franco: 12/09/2016 11:54

Beautiful store, great prices. I enjoy the variety here of all natural and organic that you can't find other places. I also enjoy the pharmacy and its low prices.

herbert mendoza: 12/04/2016 16:50

This place have good deals, always great selection on fresh Seafood. Also it isn't big so you could be in and out in no time!!

Brian Hughes: 12/04/2016 01:00

NEW: Very disappointed in the level of service and control the management has in this store. It used to be better but I don't know what has happened but if they don't fix it we will take our business to Walmart! OLD: Clean and friendly store. I never have to wait in line too long. Great competitive prices, fresh meats and decent deli meats. The bakery is good and they have lot's of samples throughout the store. I like how they have a manager at the lines directing folks to the shortest line.

Ali Rodriguez: 11/23/2016 17:05

This store is clean and everyone here is always nice. They have expensive beer at a way lower price ive seen anywhere else. Bakery, seafood department and deli.Corey the cashier has no help early in the morning by the way.

Kathara Satavia: 10/25/2016 23:51

I love my local HEB! It's very friendly--the staff are very friendly and about the most helpful of any grocery store I've been in. It's a clean store, it has much better prices on produce and many items than the competition. It has a reasonably good selection, but if you buy a lot of overly processed stuff you might not find everything you could find at the larger HEB, but I think the smallness of the store is a plus. I don't want a store so large I get a workout just trying to shop ( : And if you need an item they don't carry, most likely the department manager can get it for you. Don't discount your local store just because it's not a mega-store--you will find better prices here and a friendlier more personal touch. Get to know the staff--they are great!

As is standard with HEB the store was clean and well stocked. The staff was great and the wine/beer selection is great. We go to this location whenever we are in town. Always something to taste and always at least one impulse buy because they have neat little oddities.

Good for getting household items or prepackaged food, but the produce literally only lasts 24 hours, 36 at max. Buy fresh produce somewhere else!

Great place to stop in and get quality food. While it's a little more expensive than the neighborhood Walmart up the street and other larger H.E.B.'s I still find exactly what I need and get out in a timely manner.

Absolutely love this H-E-B!! Staff is very helpful and friendly. Lines move fast. Store is clean and very close to my place. I always like looking at how much I save at the bottom of my receipt which just happens all on its own thanks to their automatic savings! Love the specials they always run!

Not the nicest grocery store or for that matter HEB in town but it is okay. Nothing special. Just your average grocery store. Has all you need. Could benefit from better appearance and some renovation to look a bit more like the better HEBs in town but it's okay. Good prices too.
