Central Market on the map

This place use to be great, I've been coming here for 3 years consistently for lunch and today was a disappointment. I came in and ordered my usual lettuce wrap, only be told in a condescending way that I only get 4 toppings and that additional toppings are 50 cents. Since when did you change your pricing to penny pinch on toppings and why do your employees have to be patronizing? I spoke to a manager and was no help either. If you want to be pinny pinched, and be patronized, don't come here for lunch.

Review on CUSTOMERS at Central Market! For Prepared Food Area: Custom Salad Bar: They have a menu board that states how much is the limit for each salad. How much it is for extra meat or toppings. I do not understand why people get upset when told it will be extra then make a scene to get things for free. The menu states the salads are $7.99 for 1 lb. If you would like more there is a salad bar that you can make your own salad for $7.99 per pound. Sandwich Bar: Same as the Salad Bar they have a menu that lets you know how to customize a sandwich. If you would like to add more it will be extra again, i do not understand why people like to pick fights with employees about this they are just obeying the rules that the corporation has stated for there business. I hate when i see grown women and men make a big scene about how they want something free. I understand that something is extra and i pay if i do not want to pay extra i just do not get more then i am supposed to. Have a great day!

I love coming to Central Market. I always find new foods to try! I would take this place over Whole Foods and Trader Joe's any day.

My favorite grocery store anywhere - the produce section beats anything I have ever seen in the world. Living in Beijing I went to the farmer's markets to get produce with the same large selection of unique stuff but CM imports from all over the world. Butcher and fresh seafood shop, breads baked on premises, the best cheese shop anywhere (including those immense places in Amsterdam), a deli that includes some of the most melt-in-your-mouth prosciutto (goes great with the cantaloupes bought earlier!), and in dry goods a selection of olive oils, pastas, organic this and that, my favorite canned tuna anywhere (secret! But it is Spanish and in olive oil!), local salsas, and excellent roast coffee beans. If you are a health food nut, live in this store. And that Moroccan salad at the salad bar... deeelissshhh!

I like it better than Whole Foods. There are always piping hot coffee samples available which helps in deciding what to get. Wonderful fruit section with fresh juices on ice. Great beer selection. And it's one of the only places i can almost always find Irish soda bread. No salad bar though, so you can't build your own salad. Otherwise, perfect.
