The Market is a must-visit attraction in Center City Philly. Lots of excellent food stands, fish mongers, Amish bakeries, cookie shops and even a used bookstore. It has clean, accessible restrooms, a rarity in any big US city and is only a block from the PA Convention Center. Very busy lunchtime.

Absolutely amazing experience non like any other. This market is jam packed with hustle and bustle each day of the week. From food, arts, keep sakes, there is something for Absolutely everyone. My favorites are the local iconic food vendors.

I would eat here for lunch every day if I lived in town. Some of the best sandwiches in town can be found here (see DiNic's). Great cheese and meat markets. An Amish diner. And one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. It can get very crowded (the food stands move people along quickly) and it can be very difficult to find a seat.

I was in down for a work event and walked here from my hotel for breakfast and was super impressed. I've been to many big city markets like this that were "meh" at best but this one is awesome. I ate at Down Home Diner which was delicious then walked around to the various vendors and was surprised by the quality and value of the goods -- everything was so reasonably priced! There's something for everyone and I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

Bustling, A Bit of Everything! This is a bustling place! Lots of shops! Cooked food (we saw quite a good number of stores selling yummy-looking sandwiches; there were Middle Eastern and Asian food stores too), raw food, bakeries, ice-creameries, and other stuff. We came on a Sunday so it was quite crowded. Not good for those who can't deal with crowds. Good fun for a quick walk around though.
