Certain employees can be very annoying, and snarky. Still a great place for shopping on a budget.

Dominick's staff are very, very nice. The meat is very affordable, but other items do cost more. Delivery...not so good. Been waiting 4.5 hours (and still waiting going on 5 hours), stuck at home, unable to go anywhere. . Had to cancel something I very much needed to do, because I'm waiting on these people. And calls are totally unhelpful! You might as well ask them to fly to the moon. Also, the store wasn't as clean as it could be, and some of the displays were positively slovenly.. No excuse for that, in my book. Particularly scary looking were the open freezer chests in two locations inside the store. I'm sure the locals love it, and I do like the staff there, and not to sound like a food snob, but really-- the cramped and sloppy conditions were sort of off-putting for my taste. They seemed to have enough staff that someone could make the time to go through the freezer chests & shelves and straighten things up, make it look more professional. Some of the meat didn't look so hot, either. YOu have to really look it over good--not to say the cuts were bad, they were quite good, but I could see some meat turning brown, which if the sell-by date was correct, shouldn't have happened. Won't pretend to know what's going on with that. Will I go back there? Probably. If only for the meat prices. But I likely won't bother with delivery, since they aren't very professional about it. But that's actually the norm for Syracuse, where every other business is run half-baked.
