Friendly staffs not very crowded clean and very convenient for quick stops

Small store that needs some updating. Pros: pretty surprising selection of natural and organics. Cons: Small meat and seafood department. No butcher casing or seafood casing. Also, long lines. Best to come here if you need to fill in groceries or need simple items.

Nice and clean. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The only negative thing that I can say about this Safeway is the Starbucks inside ... staff is really slow and not friendly

Nafiaah Hijama: 04/15/2017 17:03

Nice store. Electronic processing was down. Wasted an hour and was told just pay cash. Rude. Won't be coming back

Kyle Yarusso: 04/10/2017 02:51

Good quality stuff. A bit on the small side, so didn't find everything I needed.

William Fritsch: 04/05/2017 05:54

Been living in this neighborhood 8 years, unfortunately near this abysmal grocery store. It's too convenient, so I keep returning. No matter what time you visit, the management strategically arranges for such a minimum amount of cashiers that you will always have a long wait in line--never fails. Selection is just barely adequate and the clientele sketchy. Patronize only if you are desperate!

Heather Minter: 03/29/2017 04:01

The convenience makes this store ideal. They have gluten free products, a clean environment and helpful staff.

Absolutely the worst Safeway/grocery store I've ever been to. You can wait upwards of an 30-45 min just to check out. They need self checkout. Awful. For the sake the the employees they need to have more staff on hand. Always under staffed. Terrible reflection on the owners.

This place must have mice running around chewing on food overnight or something. This the first time I've ever seen this on any market. Shame on them! I can't believe they didn't even remove this off the shelf. How did they let a customer see this before the staff members themselves?

Romona Foster: 03/12/2017 19:37

Okay grocery store for picking up items quickly. Their parking lot is really dark and covered, so I recommend parking on the street if you go late at night.

Mary Claire Moran: 03/09/2017 23:35

Good in a pinch but their selection is pretty minimal. I would go to another store if you need something that isn't very basic. No deli counter or bakery and the fresh meat and fish selection is poor

I love that this is so close to home but it seems like they randomly stop carrying products that are otherwise part of major brands they carry (for example: They have a TON of utz snack products, but have ceased carrying The Crab Chip). More importantly, they took out all of the self-checkouts but have made no effort to increase the number of active lanes - it's a rare time that I am not 8 people deep in a line and spend 30+ minutes here, even just to get milk or laundry detergent.

Megan John: 02/22/2017 03:54

Absolutely the worst Safeway I've ever been to. The owners don't care how long you have to wait to check out -- they only care about cutting costs by understaffing. Every quick lane is always closed and the place is a mess.

David Bush: 02/18/2017 16:47

Item's are frequently out of stock or most likely have not been put out on the floor. Check out lines are extremely long wait times due to not enough cashiers. Store does not smell very good either. Would have given one star but the employees are mostly friendly. In the 35 years I've lived here I mistakenly try to give this store another chance but they fail me everytime.

Diego C.: 02/11/2017 19:42

Selection it's pretty slim. Not enough staff long lines m they could b friendlier. Only come here because it's close by

Alan Burnstine: 01/07/2017 05:10

Good prices and decent selection, although I always find I need to stop at Giant at least every couple of weeks because something I expect them to have is put of stock or not carried. Checkout has gotten slow recently. Not sure if it is a lot of new checkers, or be ause they recently changed to chip card readers and they are slower, and customers still get confused by them.

I love Safeway and thier prices, brands and very friendly staff, however, it seems this particular Safeway is constantly under-staffed. If you're in a rush, don't go to this supermarket. But, they do have some of the freshest meats and fish.

Jerry S: 01/01/2017 21:20

I have been going here once or twice a week for two years because it's closest walkable grocery store. This Safeway has affordable groceries but lacks clear organization and, for the most part, has a not-so-friendly staff. Some items don't even have price tags, some produce is often nearing or past its shelf life. It's quite obvious that majority of the people hate working there and have low morale which, consistently and without fail, translates into rather poor customer service. I have had people talking on the phone or with their friends while trying to check out. Of course there are always a few good ones, but they don't stay long.

Helen Ouriques: 12/27/2016 00:06

That's a fancy supermarket chain, prices are way up high when compared w/ other stores. 3 stars just because what a really about this place is the soup during winter time: fresh, delicious & good price.

J. D.: 12/23/2016 21:10

This store has ridiculously long lines - first because the cashiers are slow, second because there's no one to bag, and the customers don't bother to help. After waiting, its finally my turn and the cashier walks away to help someone else. No "excuse me" or "just a moment, I'm sorry" just walks away and takes forever. This should be the job of a manager to help cashiers, so cashiers don't have to abandon their registers. I also needed customer service once, and 3 of us stood there, rang the bell, and no one came for 5 minutes - the person who assisted us had been standing there the whole time, unloading bags at a cash register. Not a priority in my book. The prices are always missing or wrong. The produce section is limited and doesn't look fresh, and again the price tags are missing. Items of different price points and sales are all mixed together. The pharmacy seems disorganized, they always seem overwhelmed. I just hate this store.
