This rating is for the pharmacy. WAY WAY too many women. It's nothing but a hen party. And the techs don't know what they are doing. And they are intellectually unable to read your pharmacy history. Terrible customer service. One of the pharmacists, named Marsha Branson, told me my medicine would in no way make me sleepy or even drowsy. Ten minutes after I took the prescribed dose, I was in deep sleep and didn't wake up for 16 hours. The store itself is filthy. Cracked eggs can be found in the egg case at any time. The café is as dirty as the ground and the condiment area is nasty, nasty, nasty. The same with the bakery, where the doors to the donuts and buns are ALWAYS covered with handprints and icing. Flies are everywhere. The produce section has molded and rotten vegetables and fruit. Try to find a rotisserie chicken that isn't burned to a crisp. The following clerks are the absolute pits: Candace L.; Doris (should be named Boris) and Debbie who is at Customer Service and looks like she hasn't had a bath or washed her hair since Dale Earnhardt died.

Just called the pharmacy and I wish I could remember the name of the girl that I talked to because she was very helpful and went above and beyond to help me save money on my prescriptions. Very grateful and will recommend this pharmacy to everyone.

This rating is for the pharmacy. I have decided to NEVER get my prescriptions filled here ever again. The pharmacy staff is unfriendly and extremely unhelpful. Called the pharmacy to have them tell me that my doctor's office never sent over my prescription. This was a complete lie. My doctor's office had received confirmation the previous day from Meijer about receiving my prescription. I called back the following week due my doctor's office being closed on the weekend. The doctor's office confirmed that the had sent and received the confirmation from Meijer. I proceed to call Meijer again and have a extremely rude pharmacy tech tell me that they don't carry what was prescribed. Okay, how about a courtesy phone call to let me know instead of lying about not receiving it? I proceed to find another pharmacy that will fill my prescription. The Meijer pharmacy tech was also no help what so ever in that area. I was told "that we can not help you locate a pharmacy because we would have to be calling other pharmacies all day and we just don't do that." I would think that pharmacies would have some kind of idea where to send a customer if they didn't carry a certain prescription. Once again the Meijer pharmacy lied about not having my prescription when a separate pharmacy called to have it transferred. All in all this entire situation has left a bad taste in my mouth about the Southport Road Meijer Pharmacy. Granted they could probably give two sh*ts due to the fact that I am but one person however I will be telling everyone I know. You know what they say bad publicity travels faster than good.

The store layout is good and it is clean. The store selection is average but the produce section is a step up. The wait at the deli is usually ridiculously slow as are the lines to check out. I would rate it 3rd among the local super stores.
