While Babushka's is pricey (almost everything is imported from Chicago or overseas), they usually have good products. However, be aware when staff suggest meat items. They are usually pushing meats that are about to expire. Insist on them opening a new package if you need something sliced. We've been burned several times. Now we usually just buy a whole sealed package of ham or kielbasa to avoid buying something that is a day or two from going bad. Cheese is almost always fine, as well as baked goods. There is a great candy section, as well as a beer and wine section where you won't see unless you go to Kahn's international beer section. It's mostly just Russian, Polish, and Czech beers.

Russian deli at its best. They have many good unusual things to eat. Go there and try something new. It is good for your sole.
