Manny's Coffee Shop & Deli on the map

A variety of deli foods of humongous proportions served traditional New York style. My sandwich had at least a pound of meat on it. All deli meats are processed on site. Try their Reuben or Corn Beef. Lots of wonderful sides, beverages and dessert items too. A Chicago institution.

The best corned beef sandwich in Chicago. Don't get one to'll want the leftovers for later. Oh, and get the potato pancake, it's delicious!

Went to Manny's many times in the past. Always good. Not today. The pastrami was very dry as was the Ruben. The potato pancakes were not fresh. The prices were outrages. Last time for us.

On a trip to Chicago with no set plan for a day, I ventured out to Manny's. I'm always on the lookout for a good delicatessen and Manny's did not disappoint. My "half" of a pastrami on rye was bigger than most full sized sandwiches you get these days, a very thick latke, and some yummy matzo ball soup. It made for a great lunch! And, as a fun surprise it also came with a coupon for a free cookie or bagel from their take out counter. Not only did I leave full, but I left pretty excited to come back and try other things next time I'm in town!

Anyone that doesn't like this place is an idiot. It's a good thing that I don't live closer to Manny's or I would be there several times a week. This is really the last of the true Jewish deli's in Chicago. Make certain you don't confuse this location with others of the same name. This is the original and the best. Yes the prices seem a little high but you get what you pay for. Anything decent is expensive there days. I defy anyone to find a better and more humongous corn beef or pastrami sandwich anywhere in Chicago area. You would have to go to New York and that's a bit of a drive for a sandwich. Also have a great menu of hot meals on a daily rotating basis. Anyone who thinks their portions are small is a pig. I expect Manny's to be around for many years to come. Other places have come and gone through the years. And; - - if you have any complaints, see GENO.
