Unlimited healthy choices. Hot/cold /made to order... Must visit to see...

i'm ok with whole foods. i like having a decent selection of quality stuff that seems to be well curated and healthy. the pretense, price, and parking (three p's!) can be a little grating though, and this location can be particularly bad at the latter at most times. that said, it's a consistent whole foods experience beyond that, and you might even see a celebrity at this one.

This is a medium sized Whole Foods that has pretty much everything that the suburban ones do. Pricing appears to be the same even though it's downtown. It also has a small pub attached and ample areas to sit.

Back to the Future I just got out of my DeLorean with my dog Einstein and here I am, the future of urban supermarkets. Flying cars whoosh by as I enter the store, awesome live DJ music blasting from the connecting restaurant lounge and iPads to order food from the cafes ahead of time for a later pick up. As I navigate the best designed super market for experiential shopping I've ever been to, I notice impeccable service from everyone I encounter and free samples everywhere. I love free. The future of grocery shopping is here.

This place is great. So many healthy food options to chose from. A little pricey, but that's what you pay when you get good, clean food. Staff at the deli & check out are super sweet and very helpful. Not to mention that handsome guy who works at the deli ., makes the trip to the smoothie bar always worth while.

This grocery store is the center of our community. Nice to have a place to buy organic and healthy foods!
Alisa Jenner: 04/28/2017 10:03
Amazing energy and super kind team of people that work here. My belly is now so happy!
Alex Sopinka: 04/25/2017 06:29
Healthy and organic foods. Not even that much more pricier. I've seen worse price difference for organic. There's some deals to be had if you look. Got 2 big bottles of water for $4.
lisa mt: 04/17/2017 18:12
This is a little smaller than most other Whole foods but is very well stocked. It has all the regular accommodations such as sandwich, poke/fresh fish, pizza stations and an incredible salad etc bar. Great to have a place to go for organics downtown that is not as expensive as some of the other small markets in downtown.

High quality hot dishes, amazing buffet salad bar, excellent fruit selection, and always clean with friendly staff. A great place to stop and rest before hitting the highways while visiting LA. Get off the traffic on Hwy 405. Rest at Whole Foods with a cup of yogurt and fresh sliced watermelon wedges chilled in the cooler as you walk in the door to your right, day or night.

I come to whole foods once a day. They are an honest business trying to benefit humanity as best they can. This is a very rare thing these days.
De Jenkins: 04/11/2017 21:23
Fresh and interesting foods. Great cheese choices. Here's a bummer, though: they're using a new yellow-colored produce bag that smells of lighter fluid. Yuck!
Bobby Liu: 04/10/2017 21:15
Dig the store and the variety of products. For the most part people are friendly but if you go within 30 mins of closing the meat and seafood people are completely gone... :( Overall would return. Also, comparatively this has cheaper prices than woodland hills on the same products, weird!

Clean, great selection, shelves are perfectly stocked, they have a great beer selection. They occasionally get Russian River Pliny the Elder if you're into that. The prepackaged pasta meals and pastries are really good! The butchers and fish mongers know what they're doing and have always made great suggestions. Biggest complaint is that their low quality coffee set up is terrible. The carafes are usually empty or running low so you're forced to beg for more coffee from the staff behind the counter or mix and match to get a full cup. The problem doesn't stop there, the coffee is bland and watered-down.

The floor is overcrowded, the store is in need of some remodeling and light. Every time I go there it feels like entering a hole. The aisles, specially in produce, are so narrow- two people have to squeeze to pass, forget about if you have a cart. I usually try to avoid this location, but since it is on my way from work to home, sometimes I stop for something I need. However, the parking, as the store, at this time of the day is so crowded, that I keep regretting it every time. For the upscale prices they charge they should bring the store to this class. I usually try to go on a weekend to the not very far Tarzana location, which is newer, brighter, with wider aisles and larger selection.

Great brand new store. Lots of premade options as well. And the bar is surprisingly affordable with great service.
the Kingw12: 03/29/2017 20:52
Really good place to get organic and healthy foods and drinks. They have good fresh food selection and pizza. However, trying to turn into whole foods can be a pain though due to the backup and people trying to leave or drive in through the narrow passage.
toyin fajolu: 03/27/2017 02:21
organic foods and minimum chemically processed foods. small buffet from salads to entrees. Bakery, pizza sections. interesting place to shop. Prices above average. quality fruits and vegetables
Rosa Castro: 03/20/2017 17:20
This location is much smaller than the Pasadena location. But customer service is always great and they help find what you are looking for. Good wine and cheese selection, as usual for Whole Foods.
Jason Wagner: 03/18/2017 23:21
I only get my meat and produce from Whole Foods. This location is small, but that also makes it quick shopping. If I need a large shopping trip, I go to the store in Tarzana.
Alex Joy: 03/18/2017 07:58
Definitely one of the bigger/ better Whole Foods. There isn't much you can't find prepared here. Usually they'll make it if not. They will also cook meat or fish for you in the store (including seasoning, etc). I'd skip Sunday evenings, bc it's a madhouse.
thoughtknot: 03/18/2017 07:29
As an aspiring vegan / vegetarian (vegetarian is a cakewalk compared to being vegan), this place has it all. Only problem is that it's just soooo expensive. Their milk alternatives and vegan cheeses are out of this world. They used to have a 16 ounce sustainably farmed smoked salmon, but they seem to no longer sell this anymore :-(
Stephanie Geller: 03/16/2017 07:25
I don't have service in a large chunk of this store for some reasons, which is annoying when I'm talking to someone and the call drops. Other than that though it's a fantastic store. It's whole foods so it's always clean and the employees are always helpful and kind. This particular location has a (wait for it) COOKIE BAR. Maybe that doesn't excite you, but being able to choose from dozens of freshly baked cookies, some from local bakeries some made on site, to pop in a bag, pay by weight, and enjoy back at my office, absolutely delights me!

This Whole Foods location is my favorite because it consistently keeps in stock the best of all possible scones: Rockenwagner Bakery's ginger scone. Aside from that gem, this is the largest Whole Foods I know about on the West Side, so expect every possible healthy and allergen-free foodstuff you could dream up. A great selection of prepared foods and a long kitchen bar supply plenty of ready-to-eat goodies. A pleasant seating area indoors provides cozy spots for twos and threes; larger groups will want to find room at the plentiful tables outside. Plenty of parking, but it gets crowded; drive carefully as the lanes are quite narrow, or grab a spot on the street.

Food good quality ,delicious soups, superb pastry fresh carrot juice + will blend what your preferences, smoothes toiletries if you eat red meat
Stanislav Jabuka: 03/09/2017 04:14
Good selection of organic produce. Their hot bar is great for a meal that can be quick without being fast food.

I work for a grocery delivery service, and I have been shopping at whole foods for 14 years. This is easily in my top two favorite Whole Foods locations, the staff is super chill and friendly and there's just a good vibe overall in the store. I always love to come to this one instead of Venice or the other Westside locations.
Kevin Huling: 03/04/2017 12:11
Looking for organic food to help change diet thought this page would be best for that. Chatted with someone that recommend a certain brand I checked them out and it was made in China, where China isn't known for distributing real organic food. I thought this would be more american locally grown stuff.

The Brentwood Whole Foods is one of my favorites. Every employee that I've encountered in my 100s or 1,000s of visits has been very friendly and helpful. It's one of the smaller Whole Foods, but they still have all the typical items you would expect to find in a Whole Foods. If you visit this location, don't be afraid to ask for assistance.
KN Yurk: 02/26/2017 00:47
nice location with free parking(very welcome), open air eating area, great hot food buffet style section for breakfast through dinner type foods. prices are high for a market but quality is good.
Eileen Gabler: 02/26/2017 00:41
I usually have fun visiting this store because everyone is so nice here usually and store is a nice visit. I do like the set up and sometimes this place makes my day. I get the French roll and usually hassle everyone any location I go to for actual side butter. I just found out is a special butter they sell with a deer head on the package. I still prefer they give me some on the side though because I eat it right away and don't want to buy too much butter. I might be annoying to ask all the time but I must get my butter for it to even be a meal they obviously go together and four extra dollars for something I'm just gonna throw away wouldn't make any sense. =\

I have not been to a lot of Whole Foods but this is a level-up of most I've gone to. The FOOD section is incredible. There's a tremendous amount choices, from acai bowls to pizza to vegan grill to sushi and everything in between. Such a great and safe place for vegans and vegetarians.
Dee Long: 02/21/2017 05:09
This store is for the health conscious person. It's nice and clean with friendly staff. It is very expensive with various prepared food areas and a bar. I was devestated when they removed El Barracho and replaced it with a Asian Mexican fusion restaurant! None the less it is a great store to go to for those items you can't find.
Damian Lavalle: 02/17/2017 03:52
The Bomb! This place rules for taco tuesdays. 5 tacos and a beer in a trendy setting. Very nice and all for just $10
Cary Brown: 02/15/2017 01:08
One of the smallest Whole Food Market but it still offers many options. The vegan donuts are not to believed. Prepared foods are available. There is a large salad bar, cheese bar and sushi chef. Easy parking. Free electric car chargers. This is a very busy store, especially in the afternoon. Wheelchair accessible except for the bathrooms which are located on the second floor.
Joel Vega: 02/12/2017 08:03
If you are looking for rare items. Such food. Or beauty products. Wholefoods has an AMAZING list. You will always find it here. Shampoo totally organic and natural for example.
Adam Tillotson: 02/08/2017 04:05
Lovely little whole foods. While being particularly petite compared to other Whole Foods locations, they do pack a lot in here. Best corner grocery store one could ask for

I work up the street so I come in here for the hot food bar all the time. It's a great thing to do for lunch if you can't make up your mind, as there is great variety. As for the actual market, one thing I love about this place is that the lines are always short, and they move fast. Also love that there aren't kids running around like mad (like the markets by my house) but that's probably because they're all in school when I'm there. The produce section is fantastic, and the sandwich and pizza shops are great, just as you'd expect from Whole foods. One caveat, when you grab lunch here, and sit outside, facing Ventura Blvd, you are SURE to hear some crazy horn honking, and someone arguing, because some moron is trying to make a left onto one of the busiest boulevards in the city. It's so dumb, and annoying. Their parking lot is a madhouse as well, I've nearly been run over by an old man, and once, after some fresh body work, somebody scratched up my bumper on their way out of their parking spot. Lot's of self absorbed valley soccer moms driving huge land yachts here, so that is going to happen.
Lili N: 01/28/2017 05:33
Love the variety offered here. Great floral arrangements, cleaning supplies, pet food, and general whole foods goodness. When the lot is crowded they even have aides that assist you in finding a spot.
Jenelle Bossett: 12/13/2016 07:54
Easy parking Nice selection Friendly staff This is one of my favorite locations! Generally, Whole Foods is quite expensive but this location offers discounts on the salad bar on Wednesdays and other cool discounts throughout the week. I especially love their granola section it's simply the best. The vanilla almond is bomb. Overall great place
