Great seafood section and Asian staples. Not really Japanese, n But a little of everything. Good, quick restaurant counter in the front, too.

I really like this place. You can find all kinds of Asian food and market is always very clean. It has good lighting and fresh sea foods. Especially they sell fresh sashimi! I love how I can buy Toro here :) they also have food court right next to it so you can enjoy simple meal with great variety available to choose. I visit here frequently. Oh! If you buy grocery here at least $10, you get parking validation :)

The name will deceive you. It is now own and operate by Koreans, all food vendor inside also are Koreans. They carrying mostly Korean grocery. Not so much of Japanese stuff. But the quality is always good, especially the fish and the sushi spot inside is reasonable and fresh.

The older guy at the fish counter was so rude and spiteful to me just because I had the nerve to ask for a price check on some fish. I was confused because the price tag was crossed out with a sharpie. Sir-Please don't take your bad mood out on other people, you have no right to be so unkind to strangers. The parking lot attendant, who was standing in the pouring rain, and probably earning less money for his time, was a happy man spreading kindness and joy. Maybe he could teach fish counter man how to be a human being?

Great market if looking for Asian "staple" food goods if in the area. The prices are not ridiculously high, nor is it crazy cheap. It doesn't have everything, but it has enough to get the job done. It's the best option for an Asian grocer in the downtown area. Has a decent sized food court, with a small variety of restaurants including a decent priced poke bowl place. I shop here frequently, since I work nearby, to get basic food goods when I know I won't have time to go elsewhere. This is also probably your "best-bang-for-your-buck" place to get lunch at the food court if looking to avoid the crazy prices around the Arts District or Little Tokyo. I definitely recommend if you are in the area and looking for Asian grocery or a cheaper lunch.
